Today's devotion, Leave your decision to God. Never get into the habit of making a decision without God's intervention. It doesn't matter how small your decision is or how large it may be. We have good habits and we have bad habits.
It is a good habit when we allow God to make our decisions for us, and it is a bad habit when we make our decisions without Him. Bad decisions always come with regret, and good decisions always come when we are guided by God. All God needs is our obedience, our patience, and our faith.
In Hebrews 11 verse 6 it is written, But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them. Diligently seek Him. My brothers and sisters in Christ, stop making it a habit of depending on people to make decisions for you and ignoring God's input.
Obedience to God's word brings blessings and positive outcomes. Because when we follow God's commands and live according to His will, we will experience the fruit of righteousness and the joy that comes with a life lived in alignment with Him. In Deuteronomy 28 verse 1 it is written, If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully keep all His commands that I am giving you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the world.
In 2 John 1 verse 8 it is written, Watch out that you do not lose what we have worked for, but that you may be rewarded fully. And in James 1 verse 12 it is written, Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial, because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love Him. Heavenly Father, we come before you today as we seek your guidance in decisions that we need to make.
Guide our steps and give us wisdom and discernment as you lead us to make our decision. Lord, open our spiritual eyes so that we can know what to accept and what to walk away from. Lead me in your truth and grant me the confidence to follow where you lead.
Lord, grant me the courage to act and the peace to trust in your plan.
All these we ask in Jesus name. Amen.
