Today's Devotion, Lord, help us to stop doing the wrong things. Lord let us be wise in making our decisions, regardless of how difficult things may seem. Let us stop worrying about the things we cannot change.
In Luke 12 verse 24 to 26 it is written, Consider the ravens, they do not sow or reap, they have no storeroom or barn, yet God feeds them, and how much more valuable you are than birds. Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest? Stop loving money more than you love God. In 1 Timothy 6 verse 10 it is written, For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.
Some people eager for money have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. Stop taking advantage of the kindness of others, because God knows your motives, and He will protect, cherish, and reward the kind-hearted. In Romans 12 verse 17 to 21 it is written, Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all.
If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God. For it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.
To the contrary, if your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him something to drink, for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
My brothers and sisters in Christ, stop trying to fit into the wrong crowd to get attention. In Proverbs 1 verse 7 it is written, The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and knowledge. Heavenly Father, help us to stop doing the things that are not pleasing to you, because we are slowly drifting closer to the devil and further from you.
In Proverbs 12 verse 15 it is written, The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listens to advice. Lord, we call upon you to send people with wisdom around those who have stopped being God-fearing, because they are being influenced by the wrong people and the wrong things. Lord, we come against the spirit of deception and manipulation, because the devil has a way of letting sin seem right.
In Psalm 101 verse 7 it is written, No one who practices deceit will dwell in my house. No one who speaks falsely will stand in my presence. Thank you, Lord, for your guidance so that we can stop doing what is wrong and start doing what is right.
All these we ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
